From Bush Pilot with No Previous Business Experience to a $971 Million Company and Largest Oil Company Investor - in Five Years!

Growing up in Belfast in Northern Ireland I dreamed of travelling the world. I headed off to London University and it was there that I discovered a passion for flying – the freedom of soaring above the world, of being able to see for miles and miles and the beauty of the earth from above. After graduating I went travelling to find some opportunities as a pilot and ended up spending eight years in Africa. It was challenging flying and exciting exploring but I was continually searching for the perfect job and location. Something was always missing. After 5000 hours in the cockpit flying a range of aircraft from private jets to helicopters and some old Russian cargo planes I dreamed of setting up my own company. Unfortunately I had no idea where to begin or how to do it. I decided to head for America to see what opportunities I could uncover.

IT ALL BEGAN WITH AN IDEA

It was in America that I first heard about the Dr. Tony Quinn Seminars and it was attending this 2-week course that changed my entire life. We learnt about the power of the mind and how to super-focus on our goals to achieve success in all areas of our lives. It was on this seminar that I came up with the idea of a private aviation company as my goal. With these tools and understanding I was able to develop and super-focus on my clear, invincible vision – to build the world’s finest private aviation company – XJet.

THE BIRTH OF XJET

For the first time in my life I had a vision that was so super-clear to me that I could almost touch it. I could close my eyes and see it clearly. The doubts and fears that plagued me in the past were gone. While others around me saw the obstacles and challenges, I was feeling more and more energized and propelled towards my goal. It was almost like a magnet pulling me closer and closer towards this vision. As you may be able to imagine, at 30 years old, with zero business experience, in a new country, with an unproven and revolutionary business model, many thought I was nuts and encouraged me to remain in the safety of the cockpit as a pilot. However, with encouragement and guidance from Tony I formed XJet in 2004 in Denver, USA. Soon after, this unstoppable vision attracted others who also attended the Educo Seminar, and soon we were a fully committed team, totally aligned in our goal to build XJet into the brightest beacon possible.

35 MILLION

After successfully raising $35 million, we built our award-winning flagship facility in Denver, Colorado. We were fully subscribed with members and 15 jets, a luxurious clubhouse for our members, auto spa for the aircraft and vehicles, outstanding hangarage for the jets and highend office and retail space.

The leading luxury publication The Robb Report named us the BEST OF THE BEST in 2007. Right after that we were awarded the American Institute of Architects (AIA) award for the finest designs within the US and the prestigious ADDY Gold Medal for corporate branding. XJet was gaining international recognition and there was a massive buzz about us within the industry. We began receiving many invites to share our revolutionary business model at aviation conferences around the world. From a dream to reality in less than three years, but this was only the beginning of this incredible journey.

XJET WORLD – DENVER, DUBAI, PARIS

The excitement from the US spread globally and airports from around the world wanted to entice XJet’s revolutionary business model. The United Arab Emirates with its ever-growing list of “world firsts” was determined to secure an XJet facility with its world-class facilities and seven star services. An Emirate businessman who owns his own jet and heads up aviation for the Royal family for over 20 years travelled to Denver to see our facility first hand and was literally blown away by what we had accomplished. He was so impressed he joined XJet and is spearheading our launch in the Middle East with XJet’s facilities in Abu Dhabi & Dubai. In Europe others came forward, attracted to our rapidly growing global business model and we secured land and investors in Paris, the busiest private aviation airport in Europe.

So within only a few months of opening in Denver we had secured prime real estate and perfect partners in Dubai and Paris – again shocking others in the industry, as land at airports is incredibly hard to come by.

BUSINESS STRUCTURE

To support and manage this global growth I needed a new business structure. The bigger the business the more important your structure becomes. Tony offered me his Educo Business Structure and worked with me to implement it.

This would allow us to replicate the success we had in Denver and to move at a quick pace. The structure was absolutely critical and allowed me to keep my eye on the ball in Denver while also travelling to push forward the operations in the Middle East and Europe. In fact the structure was so transparent it became ‘selfmonitoring’ and I basically did myself out of a job - Denver was running so smoothly and I was able to monitor our progress weekly through the Key Performance Indicators without having to wait until the month’s end profit and loss statements. “ You can’t build it big without the right business structure. ”

This basically meant that we had the information at our fingertips and were able to stay ahead of the game. We developed very strong operating and fiscal disciplines as a result of this structure thereby maximizing profits. This structure also provided vital feedback for all the employees of XJet providing them the opportunity to grow and develop.

1 BILLION

It was at an event sharing the Educo structure and the success we had achieved that Tony mentioned to the large crowd present that XJet would become a “billion dollar company”.

We hired an internationally recognized public company (FTI) to work on an independent valuation of XJet World. After months of due diligence I travelled to their headquarters in New York and you can probably imagine my surprise when sitting in their large boardroom they announced that upon completion of our existing projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dallas and Paris, XJet would have a value of $971 Million. Immediately my mind went back to almost a year before when Tony had said we would be worth a Billion.

A significant piece of this valuation was the Educo Business Structure that we had in place – they mentioned in their report that this structure “was way beyond that of most early stage companies” and provided such a solid foundation that it would allow us to realize our global expansion opportunities thereby maximizing our value.

And I also thought back to a young boy in Belfast who had a dream. Now sitting here in this boardroom with this amazing news, I had to pinch myself.

THE SKY IS NO LONGER THE LIMIT

The aviation industry, like many others, has been affected by the current financial uncertainty. Many of the aviation companies are crashing. However, at XJet we have continued to fly high, living up to our logo ‘The Sky is No Longer the Limit’. We have continued to secure new equity investments, have retained 100% of our memberships, and our revolutionary pricing structure allows us to capitalize in these uncertain times, and emerge even stronger while many more established aviation companies are struggling to stay afloat. I am often asked what I believe the key to the success of XJet has been. Unquestionably it has been the Educo mind training, which allowed us to ‘superfocus’ on our clear and invincible vision and to remove all doubt.

The overwhelming majority of people at XJet World have completed the Educo training seminars and together we are of one mind. When people visit our facilities they often comment on the amazing energy and excitement within XJet and this has allowed us to attract and retain the absolute best employees. XJet has hosted world leaders, US Presidential candidates, sports stars, movie stars, and incredibly successful business people from all over the globe. Many have commented on the magic and energy of XJet. In fact during one of the US Presidential campaign events held in our hangar, they noticed the banners that hang around XJet – ‘Belief, Vision & Passion’ – and they mentioned that these fundamentals are not only key to the success of a company like XJet but they are the same fundamentals on which to build a successful country – a clear invincible vision.

The success of XJet has afforded me with the amazing opportunity of becoming the largest investor in Belize Natural Energy (BNE) and joining its Board of Directors.

My role in the company is investment. With the high-level investment network through XJet within the Middle East, Europe and the USA, I am fortunate to be able to offer the captivating opportunity of BNE to many interested potential investors. As someone who can say that I put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, I am ideally placed to talk to investors. Again, it’s an area I have much experience of through XJet. I have my clear invincible vision for BNE and I love being involved with a company that’s helping a whole country reach its potential. It’s a win-win situation because it’s also one of the most outstanding investment opportunities I know and have availed of.
